I study the spatio-temporal distribution of rain and flash floods in extreme conditions. In addition, I study the effects of geo-morphological conditions and anthropogenic disturbances on the spatial distribution of acacia trees.<\/p><h4>Main Research Areas:<\/h4><ol><li>Monitoring rainfall and flash flood events in the Arava Valley and southern Negev desert and examining the ecosystem&#8217;s health according to the availability of precipitation and floods.<\/li><li>Examining the hydrological water balance of three ephemeral channels (Wadi Shita, Wadi Nehushtan and Wadi Yael). Measuring the spatio-temporal extent and intensity of rainfall and measuring the effectiveness of rain and flow during flood events.<\/li><li>Examining the distribution of acacia trees in the Wadi Shita drainage basin and studying the effect of different geomorphological conditions on tree density.<\/li><li>Examining how changes in water flow due to anthropogenic disturbances affect acacia populations: Wadi Yael and Wadi Raham as study cases.<\/li><li>Documenting past floods, sedimentary sequences and erosion volume in the Timna Valley.
