Results suggest that the metals originated from various Aegean ores, including Laurion and Chalkidiki and\/or Thasos. The results therefore suggest that multiple Greek ores supplied silver and lead to the southern Levant throughout the Hellenistic period (second and early first centuries BCE).<br \/>\nIt is further suggested that Laurion was a significant source of lead to the southern Levant in the early first century BCE.
