FIelds of interset
- Reconstruction of paleoenvironments, with emphasis on lakes in arid areas. Studying the sediments that comprised ancient water bodies allows assessing the paleoclimate and the habitats in and around those fossil waterbodies.
- Quantifying aeolian dynamics. Aeolian features include dune as an example of their dynamic nature. They are ar comprised of many individual grains, that ha can be randomly (or not) swift away, making the quantification of the rate of their movement and their age not straightforward.
- Studying the relations and links between tectonic structures and tectonic movements within a basin, erosion, and deposition, with emphasis on intracratonic basins.
